Sitting on your deck and enjoying the great outdoors can be wonderful - unless your deck is near pine & other sap bearing trees, leaving you literally stuck on the deck! Good news! Citra Solv Concentrated Cleaner & Degreaser works great at dissolving this hard to remove, sticky mess – even on Trex® Composite Decks*! Here’s how: Carefully remove all raised residue with putty knife or other flat surface tool (use care to not scratch surface of decking.) Make a small solution of Citra Solv and water (1/8oz concentrate to 22 oz water or 2/3oz concentrate to gallon of water.)

Apply with a sponge or cloth, gently scrubbing the affected area. This will start to dissolve the sap. You may need to repeat the application a few times. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water. NOTE: Decks can be made up of different materials, some of which can be affected by Citra Solv Concentrate. We always recommend testing in an inconspicuous place on the deck to make sure that the Solution doesn’t mar the finish.*Trex® has tested our product and confirmed that it is safe to use on their Transcend, Enhance, or Select Decking products.
It’s said that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, but it’s especially true when it comes to your drains! It doesn’t take much for drains to get clogged with the usual suspects: a build-up of soap, grease, fatty foods and hair. Home Solv’s Drain Cleaner has natural enzymes and good bacteria (think yogurt for your drain) that work at removing the nasty build-up & keeping your drains flowing free. Just pouring a couple of ounces down your drain on a regular basis can prevent future problems that require using not so friendly (actually, quite toxic) products to clear them.

And, as the good people at The Family Handyman Magazine pointed out, not only are those other cleaners toxic to use, they also do damage to your pocketbook by damaging your drain pipes. Bonus: Home Solv Drain Cleaner is also beneficial for septic systems.
